Brew Control Panel testing



Finalized the mounting and wiring of my Brew Control panel. Mounted it to the wire-shelving, wired the heating elements, got the temperature sensors wired and made a 15 foot cable to go to the 50A GFCI breaker. The LCD touchscreen controls everything and everything worked well the first try.

Equipment details:
– 3 Bru-Gear 10-gallon kettles HERMS coil in lid of HLT
– 2 4500W heating elements (HLT and BK)
– 3 PT100 temperature sensors
– 2 Chugger pumps

Control panel:
– 4 Eurotherm RFS PID Temperature controllers (Modbus)
– 2 Current transformers for PID’s above to monitor current
– Raspberry Pi running Myscada Home HMI software
– Wifi dongle
– RS485 to USB dongle
– 2 2-pole contactors for elements
– 24V power supply
– branch breakers
– twistlock receptacles for pumps and elements
– Emergency stop to disable elements
– NEMA rated Antenna for wifi

Display:
– Tangent KW series Touchscreen computer and mount
– Wifi Dongle
