Brew Day – BrewDog “Slot Machine” Red Rye IPA Clone (advanced, stove-top BIAB)



Red rye IPA? Apparently so! Not really something I drink much of, but BrewDog’s is pretty decent and of course the recipe is in DIY Dog so why not!?? This is just a 12L stove-top batch so easy peasy, and not much equipment needed.

Recipe:

81% Pale Ale
12% Rye Malt
4% Medium Crystal
3% Carafa Special III

Magnum @60 to 50 IBUs
0.5 g/L Amarillo @10
0.5 g/L Mandarina Bavaria @0
1.0 g/L Amarillo @0
0.5 g/L Hallertauer Blanc @0
2.5 g/L Mandarina Bavaria @Dry
5.0 g/L Amarillo @Dry
2.5 g/L Hallertauer Blanc @Dry
Mash at 65°
Ferment at 19°
OG: 1.051
Wyeast 1056 American Ale

Note that I had to substitute the Hallertauer Blanc for Nelson Sauvin, and the Wyeast 1056 for US-05
